    Walk the Heysen Trail with the Friends – from the Fleurieu Peninsula to Mt Lofty

    A guided walk on the Heysen Trail from Inman Valley to Mt Lofty. Six days of consecutive walks on some of the prettiest sections of the trail. Ideal for, but not limited to, walkers from regional areas and interstate. .

    Reminder of a change to the Heysen Trail in the former Bundaleer Forest.

    A recent change to the Heysen Trail in the former Bundaleer Forest means the original route between Curnows Hut and New Campbell Hill has been reinstated. Please note that this change was omitted from an article in the upcoming August edition of the Trailwalker magazine.

    Constitution Review – Member Information Sessions

    The Friends Council has decided to review our Constitution to revitalise how we manage the Friends and encourage newer members to become more involved. Information sessions for members will be held later this month to outline key proposals, answer questions and obtain your feedback.

    Keep fruit fly free on your walks !!

    Walkers leaving the metro area should be sure they do not take fruit fly with them. There is a fruit fly infestation in metropolitan Adelaide, and there are penalties for moving potentially infected fruit from an affected to an unaffected region. Please check which region ( green, orange or red) you live in, and act accordingly, after viewing the regulations on the SA govt fruit fly web site.

Opening hours

We’re open Mon-Fri, 10.30am–2.30pm. As we’re staffed by volunteers, the office may occasionally be closed, so it’s best to call before you visit.

The Friends of Heysen Trail acknowledge and respect the Traditional Custodians of the ancestral lands we traverse along the Heysen Trail, embracing the Ngarrindjeri, Kaurna, Peramangk, Ngadjuri, Nukunu and Adnyamathanha peoples.
