Feature Trailwalker articles

Submit a Trailwalker article

We encourage members to submit articles about their walk experiences, whether it’s here on the Heysen Trail or another local South Australian trail, as well as their walk experiences interstate or overseas. Non-members who have hiked parts of the Heysen Trail are also welcome to submit.

Articles, reports and other submissions should be emailed to the Trailwalker Editor at trailwalker@heysentrail.asn.au. If you’re interested in contributing, please refer to our article guidelines below for more information on how to submit and our submission deadlines.

Advertise in Trailwalker

We welcome local businesses to advertise in Trailwalker magazine. We’re one of South Australia’s longest-running outdoor publications, and have reliably informed the state’s outdoor recreation community for over three decades.

Our 32-page full colour magazine has a minimum print run of 1,500 copies, three times per year (in April, August and December) as well as a digital copy, and is distributed to members, landholders, and Adelaide outdoor retail outlets, as well as regional tourist information offices, libraries, caravan parks and other outlets along the Heysen Trail route.

As a free publication, Trailwalker is effective at reaching the outdoor recreation community in South Australia, and particularly the walking/hiking community, with an estimated readership of 2,500 people.

If you’d like to find out more about paid advertising opportunities in Trailwalker, download our media kit below for information on how to advertise with us, our current rates and how to get in touch.
