Why become a member of the Friends of the Heysen Trail?
Members are the lifeblood of the Friends of the Heysen Trail. Not only do members join a community of like-minded hikers, but they also gain access to our extensive walking program. Our members also provide the pool of dedicated volunteers who are out maintaining the Trail, working in our office, and leading our walks.
Another reason to join? Our membership funds directly feed back to support the development and maintenance of the Heysen Trail, keeping it in shape for all hikers to enjoy for years to come.

We offer memberships to suit everyone, including students, individuals, families, and organisations.

Membership is valid for 12 months from the date you join.

Unlock unlimited walks with a Golden Boots Pass
We usually charge our members $12 for each day they participate in our walk program. This helps us to cover our costs.
Purchase a Golden Boots Pass for $95.00 and you’ll get access to unlimited walks for a year. This is valid for 12 months from the date you buy a pass. It’s virtual, and it’s automatically applied to your account when you register for a walk.
If you have an existing Golden Boots Pass that hasn’t expired, purchasing a new pass will extend the expiry date by 12 months.
