What visitors have to say…

  1. Tim Jackson

Stayed for two nights. Fletch and Ange were great hosts. Absolutely recommend. Great pizza on Sunday night!

  2. David & Nicole Crawford

Stayed 9/10 Aug 2024. Spalding to Georgetown. Fletch and Ange were extremely helpful and friendly. Great coffee and rooms adequate for 2 couple and a single. VG evening pub meals and perfect continental breakfast. Catered for vegan/gluten free. Drop off service used which was excellent. Nothing too much trouble. Great country pub. Did I mention the coffee!

  3. Carl Greenstreet

New owners, Fletcher and Ange, since Sept 2021. They are working to renovate the rooms. Very hiker friendly – will store food drops, cook meals for hikers on days the dining room is closed, will let you use washer to clean clothes, etc. all for a fair price. Recommended

After limping into Spalding with a bruised heel and battling through a cold and rainy storm, I took a bed at the Spalding Hotel. I needed to get home and after ringing around found just one taxi company that quoted me $250,- to take me to Gawler! Adrian the publican stepped in and offered to take me to Port Pirie the next morning and he dropped me off at the Tourist centre from where I took a bus back to Adelaide for $24,-

Thank you Adrian, and thank you Julie for the schnitty!

  6. Paula Stephenson

Nice pub. Good food, popular with locals. Proprietors very accommodating with anything to do with the HT.
The spalding IGA is no more. There is a good cafe/ store with limited, but adequate supplies.
