What visitors have to say…

  1. Camped here a night ago and someone had actually driven up to the campsite and parked near the toilet. Saw their car there in the morning when I left. 🙁 . I know easier said than done but maybe removing the site off maps or putting up fencing could help this issue. I forgot to record the number plate.

  2. Richard J Connolly

I camped here on 23/05/25 and found the site to be idyllic for its peaceful location and panoramic views. The toilet was a little hard to locate due to being camouflaged by creepers! I suggest that a “NO CAMPFIRES PERMITTED” sign be displayed at the site, since there was evidence of campfires having been recently lit.

  3. Mark Darter

Camped here 7/5/22. Water tank about 65% full.

    1. Taylor Mitchel

How long is the walk to site from where you can leave your car
      Thanks !

What are your walking plans? This is a walker’s camp, not for car camper.

A great little campsite with panoramic views, water, toilet, seat and platform! Water tank between 1/3 and half full.

  5. david booth

Needs to list a toilet that actually exists, but the campsite is very small and exposed to wind, better sites across the road (north) in the forest. (September 2014)

  6. Stayed here last night (26th of September), absolutely beautiful location, fantastic facilities. An amazing view to wake up to early on a Saturday morning! Thanks for providing such a beautiful camp site, for free! We loved it!

  7. Julian

The plan is to slash some tent sites when we can get in with the slasher.

Try and make them either off the access track or further on from the tank, out of the wind

  8. photohiker

Visited this site yesterday. Very nicely done!

Lots of camping opportunities about, especially if you don’t mind stomping down a bit of bracken. Tank was about 1/5 full. Not a bad result considering that water has all been collected in summer.

  9. A new campsite established in December 2011. Shelter and water tank to be completed in early 2012.
