Stayed a night in July 2019 in a workers cabin (donga) spotless clean, good bed, TV, mini fridge, aircon/ heater, on-suite. Camp kitchen. Easy walk up to friendly pub which does awesome meals, there’s a good cafe for lunches (had a massive burger and chips), post office, toy museum and a good little general store/ servo/ hardware/ rural store.
Stayed here in a cabin on 21st May ’18. Nice cabin with hot showers. Jack was kind to take me to Horrocks Pass to continue my hike northwards the next morning.
I camped here 12/9/15. Logistically a good spot to stay. But stoney creek is another option. The CVP is 2 Kms from the pub, the nearby service station does not open until 0800.
This CVP is a little tired and sad. Needs a spruce up.
Hi Paula, Thanks for your comment. The park is currently getting a work over. Since taking over the park August 2016. I have been repairing, replacing, upgrading. Have much more to do but think you would notice the difference. The local take away has also reopened and the nearby service station/general store opens 6am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, Saturday 7am to 2 pm and Sunday 9am to 12 noon. The Beautiful Valley Caravan Park also has a small range of supplies in the Kiosk now.
