What visitors have to say…

  1. Friends of the Heysen Trail

Thanks, I will put it on the Thru Walking FB site. Cheers Julian FoHT

  2. Mark Darter

Passed through 8/5/22. Small water tank (with Heysen Trail sticker) adjacent hall is only 10-20% full, but is not plumbed in to collect any rain water. However, water is available at the adjacent toilets.

  3. Frances

This tank is regularly topped up from the Memorial Halls water holdings, if it is empty please pop into the General Store and let us know.

  4. Ashlea

If you’re doing the Victor to Mt Compass section and staying 1 night at Heysen’s Rest, can highly recommend Alma’s Hem at Inman Valley to camp. They provide a swag with bedding + toilets+ water tank and are only 500m off the trail. This way we walked the 3 days without needing to bring sleep gear – Heysen ‘easy mode’ as we fondly termed this leg!

Details of Alma’s Hem will be added to the Accommodation listings as soon as it can be arranged.

As well as the nifty camp site there is a picnic table under a small shelter to the side of the Hall. The General Store also has a licensed cafe with breakfeast and lunch.

Is the campsite next to the Hall? We were there today and couldn’t see any signs. Looks a lovely spot.

      1. Friends of the Heysen Trail

Yes … the campsite is next to the hall.

          Thankyou 🙂
