What to expect

The Induction aims to help you decide if this is for you & will cover topics about the Day/Short Walks Leader role including:

  • The Friends background: role of walking, protocols & policies.
  • Leadership roles
  • Walk Planning & preparation
  • How to Start: organising, support, admin and mentor options
  • And plenty of time for questions and curiosity.

Note if you previously registered interest for September 2024, it has been carried forward to the new date.

Dinner is planned at Belair Hotel following the training.

Memberships, walk and event registrations and Golden Boots passes are tickets. If you purchase a Golden Boots pass details of your pass purchase will be recorded. If the Golden Boots pass has expired when you register for walk events, you will be prompted to purchase another pass.
