What visitors have to say…

  1. Nick Tyllis

Jayne is a great, genial host. She lives on site and obviously enjoys welcoming guests.
We stayed in the single quarters. Very nice verandah to watch the rain from. Right next to the Trail.

  2. Vicki Gabriel

Stayed in the single accommodation and it was perfect, lovely king single, air con, microwave, kettle and ensuite. I called Jayne direct and organised dinner & breakfast. Highly recommend the breakfast!!

  3. Mark Darter

Stayed here 8/5/22. Single rooms are very well appointed with an ensuite. Jayne is a lovely host. Highly recommended.

Stayed there after a long day with heavy afternoon rains. A very welcome warm heated refuge after a wet hard days walking.

I stayed at Heysen’s Rest B&B on 21 May 2019. Jayne was a wonderful host. I originally planned only to walk to Robinson Hill campsite from Victor Harbour. However, I arrived at the campsite quite early in the afternoon and decided to go further. A quick call to Jayne to confirm accommodation and I was off! It was steep and wet and took me a lot longer to get to Heysen’s Rest than I anticipated; I didn’t arrive until nearly 7:30 pm, well after dark. Jayne waited up for me and even brought me out a cold beer upon arrival. The new walker’s accommodation block is very nice, inexpensive ($75) and perfect for a single walker. Highly recommended!

I didn’t stay there, but I did email Heysen’s Rest to see if I could drop in for some water on my way past as there is no official water on the trail between Inman Valley and Mt Cone. I had a quick reply from Jayne and was surprised to find a flagon of water left for me at the entrance on the day.

With excellent service like that, I’d recommend a visit. Thanks Jayne!
