These are multi-day walks, usually a long weekend or a week long trip. Sometimes a few hours drive from Adelaide, sometimes interstate or overseas.
These trips often involve overnight stays in accommodation organised and paid for by the participant.

Cleland. A spectacular section of the trail passing through the native bushland of Cleland National Park, Horsnell Gully & Morialta Cons. Parks and along roadsides providing frequent views over Adelaide and the surrounding hills.
Walking to:
Montacute Heights.
Distance:
26klms.
Hazards
Several steep climbs and tricky/slippery descents A dangerous road walking section immediately after exiting Giles Cons. Park leading into Norton Summit.
Requirements
Good quality footwear and clothing, raincoat, hat, sunscreen, walking poles (are advisable), morning tea, lunch and at least 2-3 litres of water. All walkers should carry a small personal First Aid Kit to enable them to treat blisters and minor lacerations. The Leaders will carry more comprehensive first aid kits.

Walking from:
Montacute Heights. A tough walk. After an initial uphill road walk the trail makes a very long and steep descent to Sixth Creek before climbs through Montacutr Cons. Park and Mt Crawford Forest Reserve, finishing with a pleasant walk past pretty private gardens along Holland Creek Road.

Cudlee Creek.
Distance:
19klms.
Hazards
Some road crossings and roadside walking, several steep climbs and a long steep & tricky descent.

Walking from:
Cudlee Creek.A walk through rolling hills including several sections of the Mt Crawford Forest. The way summits Mt Gould and after the descent there are minor ups & downs prior to passing Scotts campsite near the finish.

The Nugget Road.
Distance:
21.5klms plus walkout of approx. 1.5klms.
Hazards
Some dangerous road crossings and a particularly dangerous bridge crossing shortly after the start of the walk. Some tricky climbs and descents.

The Nugget Road.A long walk begins with a short walkin before passing through a small section of bushland then after a few klms of road walking the trail enters the spectacular Warren Cons. Park, climbing steadily through dense bushland, some more open areas offering panoramic views follow before heading back into Mt Crawford Forest then more scrubland over Little Mt Craword and to the cars.i

23.5klms plus walkin of 1.5 klms.
Hazards
A couple of longish climbs and several road crossings.

Walking from:
Mt Crawford. Initially climbing over Mt Crawford the trail follows forest edges and roadsides, then makes its way up and over the pretty Wirra Wirra Peaks before descending to creek lines. Quiet dirt roads, road reserves and tree studded open grazing land complete this delightful section of the Heysen.

Pewsey Vale.
Distance:
21klms.
Hazards
Some steady climbs and a steep descent, road crossings and roadside walking.

Walking from:
Pewsey Vale. A comfortable section of the Trail that takes walkers through the northern blocks of Mt Crawford Forest reserves and the native bushland of Kaiser Sthul Cons. Park and its weathered rock features. Panoramic vistas over the Barossa Valley and lower North are highlights.

Tanunda.

Hazards
Some road walking prior to the descent to Bethany and into and after Tanunda with a significant road crossings in Tanunda township.

Registration terms and conditions
All walks are subject to you wearing appropriate clothing. Prime considerations are warmth and weather protection. Your safety and the safety of the walking group can be jeopardised by you wearing inappropriate clothing. In an emergency situation it can take hours to evacuate a sick or injured walker. Leaders may not accept people for a walk who have not come appropriately dressed or prepared.

In the event of hot weather, the decision to proceed with or cancel a walk is made by the Walk Leader(s), having regard to risk factors such as local weather conditions, trail accessibility, vehicle support, and the physical capabilities of walkers in the group. In some circumstances, the Walk Leader may decide to amend, modify or shorten a scheduled walk. If a single-day End-to-End walk is cancelled, walk fees will be refunded. Refunds do not apply to weekend-away walks and multi-day events.
If unforeseen circumstances arise and you are no longer able to participate in the walk, please cancel your registration as soon as possible using the Manage Walk Registrations facility on your Account page.
Alternatively you can notify the office by 2.15pm on the last business day before the walk. Walk leaders do not have access to messages left on the answering machine after this time. If your Walk Leader has provided their mobile phone number you may be able to contact them prior to the walk (subject to phone service availability).
