DESCRIPTION:A loop walk starting from Brock Reserve with a pleasant climb up towards Mt Osmond golf course offering some splendid views across Adelaide to the gulf. From near the golf course we cross Mt Osmond Road into Themada Resserve for a descent along tricky narrow path before again crossing Mt Osmond Road prior to a sharpish zig- zag climb back into Mt Osmond Reserve for the final gentle descent back to our cars.\n\nBIOSECURITY MEASURES – Please ensure you thoroughly clean your footwear\, clothing\, walking poles and other equipment before and after each walk to remove all seeds\, dirt and other debris. SUMMARY:Happy Valley
DESCRIPTION:Happy Valley reservoir was opened in December 2021 after being closed for over 100 years.\n\nIt is now open for walking\, cycling\, kayaking and fishing.\n\nWalking to the dam wall we will see views across the water to the Adelaide Hills\, then walk through some off the natural bush and onto the shore line. SUMMARY:Para Wirra - Lady Pearce Circuit
DESCRIPTION:This 5.0km circuit hike explores the former mine workings of Victoria Hill\, a scene of much activity in the late 1860s\, and descends into the South Para River. The lower sections of the trail\, in the south near the South Para River\, are particularly rewarding.\n\nThis hike begins from the carpark on Allendale Road near Bowden Cottage.\n\nDue to the fact that the park closes at sunset (which is 7.33 pm) we will need to be on the trail by 6pm to make sure we are off the trail before dusk.\n\nLady Pearce Circuit Hike\, Para Wirra\n\nBIOSECURITY MEASURES – Please ensure you thoroughly clean your footwear\, clothing\, walking poles and other equipment before and after each walk to remove all seeds\, dirt and other debris.
