SUMMARY:Burnside Trails
DESCRIPTION:Essentially a loop walk starting from Brock Reserve with a pleasant climb up to Mt Osmond golf course offering some splendid views back across Adelaide to the gulf. From near the golf course we will follow the Old Bullock Trail before dropping down towards Waterfall Gully then returning to the Old Bullock Trail and prior to going back past the golf course to cross Mt Osmond Road  and enter Themeda Reserve. From there we descend crossing Mt Osmond Road a couple of more times before a zig-zag climb back into Mt Osmond Reserve for the final gentle descent back to our cars.\n\nThis a relatively comfortable walk as the climb up to the golf course is not steep and the zig-zag climb is sharp but quite short.\n\nThere will be a short stop for morning tea.

SUMMARY:M.Bridge- Monarto
DESCRIPTION:This is the first walk of the 325km Lavender Trail from Murray Bridge to Clare. Beginning in Murray Bridge\, this relatively flat section of the trail meanders along the Murray River for a short distance past wetlands and then into Rocky Gully Reserve. We get a glimpse of Mobilong Prison and pass Monato Zoo so there are opportunities for recalcitrant walkers to leave the trail at these points!\nOn the first walk of the Lavender Federation Trail a representative of SARTI (South Australian Recreation Trails Incorporated)\, the developers of the trail\, will give a brief outline of the history of the trail’s design and construction before we set out for the day. We also encourage walkers to join SARTI (it’s only $10) to support their maintenance of the trail ((https://lavenderfederationtrail.org.au/membership/ ).  Maps of the trail are available from the Heysen office.

At Blowhole Beach the trail enters Deep Creek Conservation Park to begin the long climb through native bushland to Cobbler Hill.\n\nNote: If you are wishing to do this walk as a catch-up please refer to calendar as planned walks in this area are being organised throughout the year for other E2Enders to do catch-up walks without taking the place of new Heysen members wishing to commence their journey.Walk1-14th Aug \,Walk2-28th Aug\n\nInformation re BUS transport: For End to End walks the bus does NOT transport walkers from Adelaide to the walk. After registration\, walkers will be given instructions to drive their vehicle to the meeting point which will be at the END point of the day’s walk. The cars remain there and the bus transports the group to the start point. From there\, the group walks back to the cars.\n\n“PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU USE HAND SANITIZER PRIOR TO BOARDING AND WEAR A FACE MASK THROUGHOUT THE BUS TRIP”

SUMMARY:Onkaparinga River Recreation Park
DESCRIPTION:A “figure 8” loop walk covering most of the Pingle farm\, Noarlunga Downs Wetland and Wetlands Loop Trails.  A very flat walk\, only a couple of short rises to negotiate (you can’t really call them hills lol!).  The distance covered will be approximately 13.5 km\, which may be shortened in the event of inclement weather.\n\nWe will see plenty of birdlife\, and maybe some kangaroos.  We will cross over the old railway bridge over the Onkaparinga River adjacent to Main South Road\, and walk adjacent to a grass airstrip\, home of the South coast Flying Club and Model Aircraft Club.  If we are lucky\, we may see some light planes and model aircraft flying.
